WIRED will establish talent and competency asset mapping

Educated and skilled talent is a critical driver of Detroit's regional economic prosperity.  Despite the initiatives that are currently underway, our region does not have a systematic way of tracking the talent pool being developed, those immigrating/migrating into the area, or those leaving the region.

WIRED will establish a working group to help define key talent metrics related to educated/skilled workforce in the region.  In addition to the hard data related to education and skill sets, this initiative will also measure why talent is coming into, and out of, the region.  An e-mail survey of over 60,000 college graduates is currently being developed, and the results will be incorporated into this initiative.  The data collected will be used to shape policy and programs related to developing, retaining and attracting an educated and skilled workforce.
