WIRED will strive to retain college talent in the region by developing an internship program.

The internship initiative will keep educated talent in the region by increasing the number of college students placed in internships after their junior year.  We're going to make it easy for employers to find the right intern by creating a state-wide system for matching college students with meaningful internship opportunities.  Our goal is a system that will provide as many students as possible with a meaningful internship that has a good chance of turning into a permanent job upon graduation.

Call Patti Jones at the Detroit Regional Chamber if you are interested in hiring an intern:  313.596.0432.  We have information on hand to share with you regarding best practices and the savings you can realize by hiring interns.
