WIRED seeks to retain college talent in the region, while linking them to entrepreneurial opportunities

Currently, large national and international corporations heavily recruit engineering graduates from the University of Michigan. This gives an impression that a preferred career path is one with a large company outside the Detroit region.  WIRED will work to specifically match U of M Engineering graduates with smaller start-ups or high-growth companies within the region.  WIRED will conduct targeted career fairs and intensive follow-up with employers.  Another part of the initiative will provide stipends to students with promising ideas to work on entrepreneurial projects.
