WIRED aims to create an open Innovation Initiative

WIRED will act as a connection between global businesses and organizations, and the workforce in our region, in order to develop and advance our region through the innovation push, pull and enabler processes.

We also plan to develop global and regional networks.  This network will be comprised of businesses, research institutions and education/training providers (including the community colleges involved in the Southeast Michigan Community College Consortium).

WIRED will identify appropriate businesses, organizations and research institutions in our region to actively engage in our innovation process, as appropriate.

We plan to create a web-based tool to:

• Connect business and research institutions who are seeking innovation to entities that are providing it
• Connect education and training providers of innovation methodologies and processes to employees for workforce development to complete their innovation.
